Improving atmospheric dust-aerosol modeling

Goal: Dust has great significance for the Earth’s systems and the world’s human inhabitants. Current forecasting models still show significant discrepancies. We proposed to improve one of a state-of-art model, WRF-Chem, in the following critical aspects (1) dust emission parameterization; (2) turbulence effects.
